The Art of Vox Pops is simply giving people time. After they have adjusted to the unblinking eye of the camera, and after they have relaxed after the initial stumbles, pauses and false starts they soon find an anecdote, their story and then suddenly their voice.
It was a great pleasure working for UCL.
